Female dentist adjusting light above dental chairOur goal at the Smart Academy of Dental Assisting is to provide anyone interested in starting a career in the dental field with the ability to begin as a dental assistant. Dental assisting is a great place to start whether you’d like to become a hygienist, front desk, office manager or even a dentist. No previous dental education or experience required. Our school is taught in person in a practicing dental office and is a hands-on 10 week program.

Our staff has many years of collective dental experience and is dedicated to sharing their knowledge with future dental assistants. Whether you remain assistants through your career or move to other career paths within the dental field, our academy is a wonderful place to start. Our course is taught by an active dental assistant with over 13 years of experience as an assistant and who works at one of the most up-to-date offices in the valley.

  • Week 5: Impressions / CEREC dent crown mills training / labs
  • Week 6: Medical emergencies / Disease transmission / labs
  • Weeks 7: Radiation safety / X-rays / labs
    Restorative procedures
  • Week 8: Pain and anxiety control / labs
    Endodoncias / labs
  • Week 9: Sterilization esthetic dental materials / labs
  • Week 10: Instruments, hand pieces, and accessories / Prosthetics and implants / labs
    Professional and legal aspects of assisting
  • Week 11: Oral and maxilofacial surgery / Periodontics / Ortho
  • Week 12 Testing / Graduation
